18 September 2019

A new Russian translation of A Voyage to Arcturus is published this month by AST (who published a previous translation in 2004) in a hardback edition of 1,500 copies.

The translator, Ksenia Egorova, is a molecular biology research fellow speciliasing in bioinformatics, who translates in her free time. As well as Lindsay's Arcturus, she has translated works by Anne McCaffrey, Chuck Palahniuk, Michael Dirda, Cornelia Funke, Ted Chiang, Harlan Ellison, Paolo Bacigalupi and Cory Doctorow, among others.

The cover for the new edition is a detail from "Sunset in the Double Star system in Carina constellation" by artist Eldar Zakirov. (The original can be bought from the Saatchi Gallery for £9,480.)
